Central Park Hoodie Progress

11

My Central Park Hoodie and I have entered the home stretch. Last night I completed knitting on the hood and picked up for the button bands.

What do we have here

I laid out the sweater to do some measurements which basically was an invitation to the cat to come check out the sweater.

My New Sweater

I'm looking to finish this sweater this week so I can block it next weekend while I'm in Cannon Beach. The only good place to block a sweater in my place is the bed and if I'm gone for the weekend, that will give the sweater more time to dry since I won't be using the bed.

Central Park Hoodie Update

CPH Sleeve

I started the Central Park Hoodie last winter and then let it go into hibernation when I discovered that I was not alternating my variegated yarn therefore creating pieces of a sweater that were different shades.

CPH Fronts and Back

After sucking up my pride, I re-knit the left front and knit the right front up. I'm currently working on the sleeves at the same time so they end up equal lengths and allow me to depart sleeve island without a layover.

CPH Sleeves

I decided that I had to finish the Central Park Hoodie before I could begin the February Lady Sweater which I am dying (DYING) to make so it's been a great treat to dangle in front of myself.

Central Park Hoodie Progress

Back of Central Park Hoodie

Last night at Purly Girls, I finished up the back for the Central Park Hoodie and quickly cast on for the left front of the cardigan. I'm using Araucania Nature Wool in Colorway 09 and LOVING this sweater. It's a fairly quick knit so far (you know if someone doesn't get all distracted and knit up yarn wigs, then that someone would be further along). Yummy!

Merry Christmas!

Day 7 (7/366): Merry Sno-mas!

One wishes for a White Christmas but only rarely is that wish granted in the Northwest. Today my wish for a White Christmas was granted and I reveled in the snow for as long as possible!

I also started knitting on the Central Park Hoodie this past weekend using Araucania Nature Wool in Colorway 09. It's a pretty quick knit and I'm already halfway through the back.
