Vogue Knitting Live

A few friends and I headed out to Bellevue this past weekend to check out Vogue Knitting Live. It was a ton of fun and there was so much to see! I'm going to let my photos speak for the experience as I can only say it was fun and I got out with only buying two skeins of yarn.

Knitalong Meetup!

Last night Larissa Brown came to Third Place Books to talk about her book, Knitalong (cleverly written with her husband, Martin John Brown).

I convinced Meg to come along and I think she had fun too! We got free bags which we love since we BYOB to the grocery store.

This book is pretty awesome! I already have so many patterns I want to make from this book and I can't wait to read all the chapters but the coolest thing about this book is that my name is in the liner notes as a contributor!

Crazy Aunt Purl Visits Seattle

Last week, Crazy Aunt Purl came to Seattle to talk a bit about her book and entertain us with herself. Laurie is one of those people that you just want to have as a friend. Her voice was wonderfully Southern and she's so pretty in person, add that to being incredibly funny and you are practically begging her to hang out with you.



I made Meg pose by the podium before Laurie came. It's so she can imagine being an author on tour one day.



Laurie is a bit blurry in this photo because I didn't want to use my flash and therefore made her blurry instead. Not sure if it was a good trade-off.



All the Purly Girls came out for the night. We do travel in packs. Funny, laughing, knitting packs.



And of course I had to show Jessica blogging me blogging her!
